"Quilt is like a superhero, you can see its muscles exposed through the stretch fabric," says Erwan Bouroullec, who with brother and design partner Ronan conceived the generously proportioned seating. "You don’t need to hold your head up, you can rest and the sides are wide enough to support your arms," he adds. "Because the seat is one-and-a-half size, you can turn within it, you can use your computer, your kid can sit there with you." The honeycomb-like upholstery in bright, stretch fabrcs adds a pop of color that suits both residential and contract settings. Sitting on a powder-coated steel base, the oversize lounge chair has a glass-reinforced polyester core with individual foam inserts in the plumped-up covering.
