Inspired by the intricate fretwork of Trinidad’s colonial architecture, the Trinidad Armchair showcases CNC-milled cut-outs in its curved plywood backrest, casting dynamic patterns of light and shadow. A steel tube frame and molded plywood seat and back—secured with rivets—ensure strength and longevity. Originally designed in 1993 by Nanna Ditzel, a pioneer in Danish design celebrated for merging artistic expression with practical form, the Trinidad Armchair reflects her forward-thinking ethos.
